So I installed OS X on VMware. Runs fine, no errors, etc. Since it does run a bit slow I've decided to copy the install in my VMware to the hard drive, but I'm unsure on how to do this.

I've been searching the internet for an answer, but I'm unable to find a good solid solution on how to.

The best thing I've though of so far is to use vmware-mount.exe to mount the vmdk file copy everything on to my Windows partition, boot into my Ubuntu partition and move the information onto a partition I've just for OS X.

Problem is I was unable to mount it via vmware-mount.

I have read about dd but unsure of this also.

I guess the short version is: Unable to use the iso as I have no DVDs. Can I "convert" the vmdk and place it on the partition I've created for it so I can boot from it?
