The:Omnitect
Just thought I would throw my story out there to help future OSX86'ers with similar hardware configurations. I ended up doing ALOT of searching through many posts to get this thing done so I figured I would share this with everyone. I spent the last 2 days configuring my Sony VGN-NS140E with iPC OSX86 10.5.6. I found that it had the correct drivers for its Chipset (Intel), Sound (Conexant) and LAN (wired Yukon 88E8039). The Display drivers were a bit of a headache as the Intel GMA X3100 has a few variations but I found working kexts. Also, the Intel Wireless 3945 doesn't have any fully functional drivers as yet. - iPC OSX86 10.5.6 with Voodoo Kernel, Seatbelt Fix, PS2 driver for keyboard/touchpad, AppleSMBios ToH to fix "System Profiler" Crash, and various other misc patches = http://######.com/ipcosx86/ (Look in the usual places for a copy) - Marvel Yukon 88E8039 LAN = (On Dvd) - Conexant Sound = (On Dvd) - Intel Wireless 3945 = (No truly functional drivers yet) - Intel GMA X3100 Video = http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=159163 (Follow all intructions to install KEXTs then find and install SwitchResX to force 1280x800) Ok so other then that everything works great. Hope that helps some people. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/160429-sony-vgn-ns140e-success-story-minus-wifi/ Share on other sites
