Forcefed
Hey all, I'm new to installing Mac OSX on a PC. I use an iMac at work so i'm ok on a mac, but not great. I started off as an Windows guy and am slowly migrating more and more towards OS X. So here's the deal. I've got a weak box that i'm stuck with until I finish modding my BMW. Till then I can't afford to throw any money at my box. Here are the HW specs on the box. Motherboard specs: MSI MS-7336 945GZ Intel northbridge 82801GB southbridge CPU: Intel Pentium 4 631 socket 775 2.4GHz RAM 4GB DDR2 PC2-5300 Now heres the deal. I currently have a 80GB SATA drive formatted for FAT32. My DVD burner is IDE and this board does not have any IDE connections on it so I currently use a USB to IDE/SATA adapter. BIOS sees the DVD burner just fine and it sees my HDD just fine as well. *When I try to boot off the Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD 1) I press F8 to load Darwin 2) receive message that says hd(159,0) Ethernet PXE Client com.apple.boot.plist not found 3) Then the system reboots And I can't get past this point. The system just keeps rebooting. I burned the Kalyway 10.5.2 image at 2X speed so I do not think the disc image is bad. I'm just having an issue here that I can't seem to get past. I'm not sure where my problem lies. Anyone have any ideas so I can proceed and get OSX installed on my system? Thanks!
