Fernando.R
This is very strange, I start using iDeneb 10.5.5 and when I finally decide to make this serious (good by windows!) I bought a new HD and re-install Mac OS. This time iDeneb 10.5.6

I have two problems:

01. during start up system freezes asking for plist or something, I press F8 and finally I see the Darwin's boot options with Windows Vista and MacOS. For now works fine but is at least annoying.
UDTATE: the message is: System config file ' /com.apple.boot.S/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist' not found

02. Every start up comes with a new Spotlight indexing process. Takes 15 minutes and at the end the computer freezes for 3-5 minutes (beach ball cursor). After this the system runs smoothly. For now I just add all HD as privacy, so nothing is indexed, but this way I can't use Spotlight.

Please help!

Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/159825-spotlight-indexing-every-boot-wasting-15-minutes/ Share on other sites
