jarett19
ok so im having an ideneb install problem....i have ideneb 10.5.5 install disc i believe it is. my problem is that i can install it on my external hard drive good, with all the right drivers(i think, but i must not for it not to work) but when i go to boot it using -v theres all the text that scrolls and then it stops and doesnt move. Like i have all these selected for my drivers and extra installation stuff: +all language translations +additional fonts +x11 +ideneb essential system +ps2 fix for acpi kext 10.5.6 +applegenericpcata +kernal 9.5.0 voodoo +nforceethernet +broadcom +applesmbios macbook +setbel fix +nvinjectgo +applications ive tried different chipsets and fixes but the applegenericpcata and the applesmbios macbook and the seatbel fix seem to work the best and get me farther when i get down the list when i try and boot up in on my laptop in -v mode. it only goes so far though all the scrolling white text and stops and i left it on all night one time and it didnt budge. does anybody know how to fix this? ive tried installing like 200 times and have changed options except i didnt change the kernals. should i try the different kernals? here are my specs for my compaq f500: Microprocessor: Mobile AMD Sempron™ Processor 3400+ Microprocessor: Cache Level 2 cache 256 KB Memory: 1024 MB (2 x 512 MB) Memory Max: Up to 2 GB DDR2 Video Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce™ Go 6150 Video Memory: up to 128 MB (shared) Hard Drive: 80 GB 5400 rpm Multimedia Drive: Super Multi DVD Writer (+/-R +/-RW) with Double Layer support Display: 15.4” WXGA High Definition BrightView Widescreen (1280 x 800) Fax/Modem: High speed 56K modem Network Card: Ethernet 10/100BT integrated network interface Wireless Connectivity: 802.11b/g WLAN Sound: Altec Lansing® speakers 3D Sound Blaster Pro compatible sound 16 bit integrated Keyboard: 101 key compatible keyboard Pointing Device: Touch Pad with On/Off button and dedicated vertical and horizontal Scroll Up/Down pad, volume control, mute buttons, 1 Quick Launch Button External Ports: 1 VGA port 3 USB 2.0 ports 1 RJ 11 modem connector 1 RJ 45 Ethernet connector S-video TV out 1 Headphone-out Power: 65 W AC Power Adapter 6-cell Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) battery thanks for your time and help!!!!! and im using this for a project in my computer science so help asap would be nice.
