I'm stuck I've been at this for two days now. I have a compaq presario f500. I'm trying to install leopard on it using ideneb v1.3 1.5.6 i think it is. I'm putting it on a external usb HD. I tried booting it up on my compaq and it booted the disc once right but the mouse and keyboard didnt work. So im booting it from my moms comp. since I'm installing it on a external HD anyways. So the cd boots up and i get as far as customize instalation. I'm not sure which drivers to use so the ones that i have an idea that might be it I pick. Then i get an error telling me to reboot and try agian. And it's happend agian and agian and etc.. I would greatly appreciate it if you help me.

so here are my specs:

AMD Mobile Sempron 3500+

NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150

Heres my choice of Kernels:

9.6.0 Vanilla (Intel/SSE3) - Default

9.5.0 Voodoo (Intel/AMD/SSE2/SSE3)

9.2.0 Sleep (Intel/AMD/SSE2/SSE3)

9.2.0 SpeedStep (Intel/AMD/SSE2/SSE3)

9.2.2 SSE3 (Intel/AMD/SSE3)

Here's my choice of Chipset:

ATIATA

AppleNForceATA

AppleNForceATA Test

MCP67

ICHx Fixed

JMicronATA

SAS

SiliconImage

VIA/SiS/Marvell/Uli ( Vecchio VIA-SB )

AppleGenericPCATA

and I'm not sure about the fixes which ones would be good but I don't remember the options it gave. =7/

9.5.0 Voodoo kernel and the seatbelt fix.

An EFI Bootloader

PS2 fix for mouse and keyboard.

Find out what South Bridge is in your laptop (read the manual or look it up at Compaq's website) so you can pick the right driver for it.

For example, if your laptop has nVidia nForce chipset, pick AppleNForceATA. If it doesn't work try the 'test' one and finally try the AppleGenericPCATA driver.

Find out what chipset your laptop uses for LAN (read the manual or look it up at Compaq's website) so you can pick the right driver in the LAN section.

Try NVInjectGo if available in the video section. If not, don't pick anything else unless it specifically mentions Nvidia 'go' video cards.

Since you're installing on a laptop, pick a macbook air/pro SMBIOS injector if available

As for the rest, keep experimenting.
