Descriptions

 

The LSI21320-IS adapter provides two Ultra320 SCSI interfaces to the PCI or PCI-X system in your computer. This board uses the LSI53C1030 PCI-X to Ultra320 SCSI Dual Channel Multifunction Controller to provide a low cost PCI or PCI-X SCSI solution for computer users. Throughout this guide, most references to the LSI21320-IS are stated LSI21320 and most references to PCI or PCI-X are stated as PCI-X.

 

 

This card has been tested on my Hackintosh (Asus P5E motherboard) and runs very well. It is supported out of the box (MPTFusion kext is part of Leopard)

 

Specifications & Features

 

- 64-bit, 133, 100, or 66 MHz PCI-X, backward compatible with 66 MHz, 33 MHz, 32- bit and 64- bit PCI.

NOTE: Depends on system and PCI slot support. Refer to your system's documentation for details.

- Two SCSI connections (Channel A is an external 68-pin high density connection, Channel B is an internal 68-pin high density connection)

- Ultra320 SCSI transfers speeds are up to 320 mega bytes per second (Mbytes/s) as well as backward compatibility with Fast, Ultra, Ultra2, and Ultra160 speeds

- Connection for up to 15 SCSI devices on each SCSI bus

- Synchronous offsets up to 62

- BIOS Flash Memory - 512 Kbytes flash EEPROM

- Low Voltage Differential and Single-Ended Signaling

- SCSI Plug and Play

- Header to attach to system activity LED

- Termination power with an automatic resetting circuit breaker

- Integrated Striping (IS)
