gw4k Posted March 23, 2009 Share Posted March 23, 2009 Hey there Insanely-Mac-fans, I am getting geared up to build my very first hackntosh! I've got the money so there is no more wasting time. The only thing I need is to know what works! I am looking to building a Mac Pro Hackntosh. Currently, I am thinking quad core, 8 gigs of ram, around 1T of HDD space. I am heavy into photo editing (photoshop) so I would want the right graphics card as well. For you who have built your own hackntoshes, what hardware did you purchase? I am looking to buy and build fairly immediately so if you all can start posting what products your system consists of that would be awesome. I have fooled around with different versions of hackntosh and have successfully installed it on my toshiba laptop but honestly, I enjoy my desktops better. I want to thank anyone for their assistance and any information on hardware that will work.
