10.5.2 - 10.5.6 Boot Problem

Hi, (Check Sig for specs.)

I have recently upgraded from 10.5.2 - 10.5.4 (Using Kaly Combo and Delta) and I discovered a problem with booting. I am now running 10.5.6 with PS2 Fix, heres the problem:

 

Sometimes when I boot into 10.5.6 (mach_kernel) the Apple logo appears, when it's finished booting it comes up with a blue screen and hangs like that forever. Gets extremely annoying Also sometimes it boots into blue screen for about a second, and then a Beige coulored screen with coulored streaks appear, then nothing happends. This happends in all kernels, even Voodoo. It had never done this in 10.5.2/10.5.3.

Any ideas to the cause of the problem?

Try other video drivers - search for other solutions for your X3100.

 

Or maybe even try getting some help to extract and patch your DSDT.

 

If it boots up to a blue screen but you still can move the mousepointer, try connecting an external monitor.
