muppetmaster
I successfully installed leo4all v3 and updated it to 10.5.5, but my system does not consistently boot. Sometimes it will hang during booting and gives me this message in the logs: 3/8/09 5:28:46 PM configd[33] InterfaceNamer: timed out waiting for IOKit to quiesce 3/8/09 5:28:46 PM configd[33] InterfaceNamer: Busy services : 3/8/09 5:28:46 PM configd[33] InterfaceNamer: HP Pavilion dv6000 (GA443UA#ABA) [1] 3/8/09 5:28:46 PM configd[33] InterfaceNamer: HP Pavilion dv6000 (GA443UA#ABA) /AppleACPIPlatformExpert [1] 3/8/09 5:28:46 PM configd[33] InterfaceNamer: HP Pavilion dv6000 (GA443UA#ABA) /AppleACPIPlatformExpert/KBC0 [1] 3/8/09 5:28:46 PM configd[33] InterfaceNamer: HP Pavilion dv6000 (GA443UA#ABA) /AppleACPIPlatformExpert/KBC0/ps2controller [1] 3/8/09 5:28:46 PM configd[33] InterfaceNamer: HP Pavilion dv6000 (GA443UA#ABA) /AppleACPIPlatformExpert/KBC0/ps2controller/ApplePS2Controller [1] 3/8/09 5:28:46 PM configd[33] InterfaceNamer: HP Pavilion dv6000 (GA443UA#ABA) /AppleACPIPlatformExpert/KBC0/ps2controller/ApplePS2Controller/ApplePS2MouseDevice [2] 3/8/09 5:28:46 PM configd[33] InterfaceNamer: HP Pavilion dv6000 (GA443UA#ABA) /AppleACPIPlatformExpert/MSE0/ps2controller [1] 3/8/09 5:28:46 PM configd[33] InterfaceNamer: HP Pavilion dv6000 (GA443UA#ABA) /AppleACPIPlatformExpert/MSE0/ps2controller/ApplePS2Controller [1] 3/8/09 5:28:46 PM configd[33] InterfaceNamer: HP Pavilion dv6000 (GA443UA#ABA) /AppleACPIPlatformExpert/MSE0/ps2controller/ApplePS2Controller/ApplePS2MouseDevice [2] I've got an HP dv6445 laptop. muppetmaster
Does anyone have any ideas? This is pretty much the only thing wrong with my install. Brand55
Have similar problem to muppetmaster here. When the boot hangs, around 5 minutes later the os boots, with no keyboard or mouse support, and the kernel_task process consistently using around 95%+ of my cpu muppetmaster does yours just straight not boot when it hangs? Do you have ps/2 keyboard/trackpad support after the hang if it boots? Do you need an external USB keyboard at boot to boot properly? When looking in IORegistryExplorer.app, I find that when the machine does boot properly (due to wireless dongle being plugged in at boot) IOHIDFamily bundles (?) are loaded under: /AppleACPIPlatformExpert/MSE0/ps2controller/ApplePS2Controller/ApplePS2MouseDevice /AppleACPIPlatformExpert/MSE0/ps2controller/ApplePS2Controller/ApplePS2Keyboard /AppleACPIPlatformExpert/KBC0/ps2controller/ApplePS2Controller/ApplePS2MouseDevice /AppleACPIPlatformExpert/KBC0/ps2controller/ApplePS2Controller/ApplePS2Keyboard Not knowing a lot about the IORegistry, being a relative newb, I'm not really sure what this means. I can upload the .ioreg files saved from a good boot and a boot which hung for comparison. I think the dongle (/AppleACPIPlatformExpert/PCI0@0/AppleACPIPCI/USB0@B/AppleUSBOHCI/USB/PS2 Combo Receiver@b600000) somehow forces HIDfamily.kext drivers to load under the ApplePS2MouseDevice and ApplePS2Keyboard IOServices. muppetmaster, have you tried looking at this? Anyone with a little more experience have any ideas on this? Help would be much appreciated. GoodBoot.ioreg.txt is with Keyboard/Mouse/No Hang at boot BadBoot.ioreg.txt is without Keyboard/Mouse/with hang at boot.
