Famwashere
My Frostwire almost finished downloading an iAtkos v5i. I don't know anything about finding the Kernals and Bootloaders and such, so you guys are gonna have to help me with that too. But this thread is mainly to do a final check to see if my hardware will work. Processor: Intel Pentium 4 Prescott 506 running at 2.66GHz. Motherboard: ASRock (Not sure which model, it just say Dual Core, ATA113 and DVR800 on it). Ram: 1.5GB of 133.3MHz Ram (In two stick, 1GB and 512MB). Video Card: Radeon 9800 Pro. Sound Card: Onboard. Wireless Card: Ralink RT2500 Wireless LAN Card. Hard Drives: 2x 80GB SATA HDD. I'm probably gonna Dual Boot, having Window Vista Ultimate on one HDD, and OS X Leopard on the other HDD. I don't really get the whole patched OS X thing, but do you have to find the drivers, and put them onto the file before you burn it on a DVD? I know Prescott has HT and SSE3, which allows the OSX86. Not sure about the motherboard, but on their website it said it could boot Windows in 4 seconds, you just know its gotta be good. Ram should be enought as OS X is a light OS, if not, I'm going to be using a 40GB External USB HDD, it will act as file transfer between Windows and OS X, but also as Ram if needed. The Wireless Card is needed, hopefully it will work with OS X, if not, theres always a Ethernet port. Please check over my hardware to see if it will be compatible, and suggest a Kernal/Bootloader/whatever else I would need to use. Thanks ! Synaesthesia
I'm also not sure which ASRock motherboard you have..but it should work. Except Leopard doesn't have support for QE/CI on the Ati 9800 Pro. It only works fully in Tiger. So you need to upgrade graphics, downgrade to Tiger, or live without QE/CI.
