Mywk
Hey All, I posted this here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=156297 But i think i probably posted it in the wrong section so i will re-post here: I have Notebook HP Pavilion DV5 1040 1- Downloaded iDeneb_v1.4_10.5.6 2- Tried to install, now i had "waiting for root device" problem, i think its because HD is set to SATA so I'm going to try something 3- Tried to install to a Usb pen from a old computer but when i put the pen on my Notebook it still says "waiting for root device", so i really have to set SATA to IDE 4- For 2 days i tried to change my BIOS from the one i have to a modded one but i found no Modded BIOS for my Notebook, its a INSYDE Bios and i was trying to edit it with Phoenix Bios Editor Problem: I cant put my HD to SATA because there is no option to do that in my BIOS. I dont know its version i only saw this reference numbers in BIOS: INSYDEHD, 3063, F3 5- Here i am, finally did to register InsanelyMac so i can ask for help: My BIOS is the following one, can someone try to edit it or unlock it? (mod it) Or there is any other wait to do this? http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwar...product=3767335 Thanks In Advance, Best Regards, Mywk Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/156341-help-hp-pavilion-dv5-1040/ Share on other sites
@mit
Hi there, I have the same laptop, the ideneb v.14 cant be installed directly on to the hard disk. There are two ways to do it .. Install it via VMWARE or; Install it to an external HDD and then dd the image to your internal hard disk ( Fujitsu 320 GB ) in my case.
