ok, i followed a guide to go from kalyway 10.5.2 -> .3 -> .4 -> .5 -> .6. but problem is that after doing all those, i get this very strange problem :)

problem is the graphics, basically, when a window launches, it's perfectly fine, but when i move the window around, the stuff inside is not moved around, only the frame is moved. (video coming soon)

my guess is that i need an new nvinjector, but nvinjector doesn't seem to support 10.5.6 yet.

on a related note, if i installed the wrong injector, and get the dreaded "please turn off machine" message in multiple languages. is there any way to savage the damage?? (will safe mode work? )

edit: video of it in action:

-Intel Core2Quad q6600 at 3.4Ghz

-8GB Corsair XMS2 800Mhz

-Abit iP35 Pro

-nVidia GTX260 216sp maxcore (don't think this is the problem as nvinject worked fine on kalyway 10.5.2 )

-MacOSX installed on WD 1TB Black. Vista installed on WD Raptor. and WD 1TB Green for storage, NTFS.

-Samsung T240 24inch + 17inch secondary

I'm having the same problem.

I'd love to find an answer to this one myself.

As you can see in my signature, I have a completely stable build, using iDeneb 10.5.4. But if I try to do 10.5.6 using Boot 132 method, iDeneb 10.5.6, or PCWiz Final, I get the same wonky display issue. I've tried every available Video driver I can find including the tried and true NVInject, to no avail. And now, for some bizarre reason, I can't get 1280x1024 on a reinstall with the exact same configuration I've had complete success with in the past.

I hate to be one of those people who reply without some kind of solution, it just seems redundant, but I'm thoroughly stumped on this one, and hoping to add something for the geniuses to ponder. I'm doing pretty well with all this hackintosh business, not exactly a noob, but I have no solution, and it just gets more frustrating with each re-install. Actually, I kind of enjoy it, but I had a wonderful fake Mac, and now it's not only, NOT better, it's slightly worse.

just installed NVDarwin (because apparently it's compiled source code of NVInject 0.2.2) still getting same problem.

anyone know any solutions??

by the way, i am having difficulty calculating the VRAM option i need: 30 is 8800GTX 768MB, and if 8 is 128MB, then for 896MB, i'll need 38?? but then, 1024MB is said to be 40, which doesn't make sense.
