Wow, it's been a long time posting here....good thing in a way because I haven't really been having problems. Anyway...

I was running iDeneb 10.5.5 and everything was working fine for the most part. I was a little ticked off though because iTunes would sometimes hiccup for 30 seconds or more, and I'd have to unmount/mount one of my drives because of it (the data would disappear and reappear after the mount). I have no clue why this happened, so I decided to try out iPC 10.5.6.

After a Time Machine backup of my Mac install and a few attempts at iPC, I finally got it installed and all my information is back on. Terrific. However, every time I left click, my dock disappears. It has the same exact effect as typing "killall Dock" in the terminal.

I have a feeling this has to do with the Voodoo kernel. I'm running on an AMD machine and had the same exact problem when I tried out the Voodoo kernel in iDeneb. As you can probably imagine, this dock closing constantly is really annoying and I don't know what to do. I guess the easy way out is two switch kernels, but I'd rather be using the newer, dual-core-capable kernel.

The STRANGEST thing about all of this is that I had created another account during my iPC install setup (which I was forced to do because of Time Machine complications, which I won't go into) and that account didn't have the same problem. I would've kept the account but I want my username and my settings, etc. I'm not sure what this all means, but all help would be appreciated...

So, to sum it all up:

Left click = kilall Dock

This problem only happens with the Voodoo kernel

This problem only happens in my main account

My PC:

Model: Maingear Prelude

Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ AM2

Motherboard: ASUS M2R32-MVP

RAM: 2GB Corsair DDR2 PC5300 DDR667

I've tried searching, but I can't find anyone with a similar problem. I guess I'll just boot into Ubuntu in the mean time...this thing is REALLY annoying.

Thanks,

Gerar

EDIT: I just realized that this is in the wrong forum...sorry, guys. Could someone move it for me? I'm guessing it belongs in "Post-Installation Discussion"?

I figured out the source of the problem, but I'm not sure how to fix it. Sticky Windows is causing it. When it's disabled, everything runs perfectly. I found something to back me up. http://groups.google.com/group/xnu-dev/bro...548775aafd4f11#

Damn, I love Sticky Windows....
