This is as far as I've ever gotten with an OSX install; Installs from CD, boots from hard disc and my video works. I'm using the latest release of iPC 10.5.6.

Setup:

Motherboard: Foxconn C51 AM2 nforce 590 SLI (same model as the BFG Tech, eVGA, XFX and Nvidia reference nforce 590 SLI).

Audio: ALC882

Ethernet: Nvidia nForce 10/100/1000 Ethernet (0x037310de)

Video: 8800GT 512mb

Ram: 4gb OSZ ddr2 800

ISSUES:

#1 USB does not work at all. I've had to disable USB keyboard/mouse support in bios and use a PS/2 Keyboard/Mouse to install. When I re-enable USB mouse/keyboard support and attempt to boot into OSX, the initial boot sequence appears normal (watching with -v), and then when it goes into graphical mode, I'm stuck at a black screen and nothing further happens (forced to hard reset). The OSX desktop loads normally when i have usb mouse/keyboard support disabled.

Also an important thing to note is that in the "About this Mac" > "More Info" USB section, my USB BUS and USB Hi-Speed Controller is found, but nothing works when I plug something into it.

#2 Sata does not work. I have a Sata DVD drive and two HD's. Another odd thing here is that the devices are actually found during boot up, and the controllers are listed in "about this mac" but the actual devices are not. I have formatted one of my two sata HD's with a mac patition.

#3 Ethernet does not work. I have tried loading Nforce LAN and Nforce Ethernet drivers, and the really weird thing about these is that when I load one solo (ether or) with the other not installed, my device is found but it continuously shows as 'network cable unplugged'. If I load both of these drivers at the same time, the device is found and is ACTIVE but I'm given a self-assigned IP address, and when I attempt to configure the device manually it does not work even though it says it's connected.

#4 Audio does not work. Even though I've installed the appropriate drivers for my audio device it just doesn't load at all.

The only thing to note I suppose is that my video card does in fact work (8800GT 512mb). I also have tried manually editing several Info.plist files and adding device id's to the files that were related to the non-functioning devices. This didn't do anything.

It seems that my current hardware configuration is just hopeless, but I thought I'd post anyway to see what kind of things you guys might say.

Thanks in advanced!
