I've tried to install osx86 on my toshiba satallite laptop 4 times in the past 4-5 hours. Each time I get a different error. First It was something about disk0: mbr error and then I fixed that. And then it would install, restart, and after my bios screen I would get a black screen with a flashing cursor in the corner. I've tried GUID partion. I've tried MBR. I've tried with stock kernals and efi. I've tried without stock kernals and efi. I just want to know why it won't load. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Computer: toshiba satellite a105-s4324

Install disk: iatkos and ideneb v4

Processor: intel core 2 duo

If more info is needed just let me know. I'd do just about anything to get this working right now.

I too have the same laptop you have. I just installed ideneb with what I thought were the correct chipset drivers and I'm getting a reboot just after the screen changes. I can't capture the log file fast enough because it reboots. Have you figured yours out? I'm using ideneb 10.5.6. I upgraded the RAM to 4gbs but it only recognizes 3GB. I also upgraded the hard drive to 500gbs. The rest of the components are stock.

Update: I just found out that if you disable in the bios the the duo core, the computer starts up ok. No more rebooting. I haven't updated the new bios yet. My computer bios shows 2.0 and the Toshiba website shows they are up to version 6.00. So I'm way behind! I'll try to update the bios next. One thing at a time. This is exciting ;-)
