successful install then xp doesnt see drives

hello, well yes im a big noob. after much help i successfully installed kalaway 10,5,2 on my p5w dh. spent a week happily jumping between xp and os x but now xp no longer sees all my drives. on mac no problem, but on xp its all bezerk.

i dont know if its related but in device manager its says there is no driver for the pci device, but i am not able to install any driver from the the asus p5w dh disk. (error: insuffcient system resourses).

is it something to do with the bios settings and/or ahci? (i had found a link for a subject relating to making ahci work for xp but its seems to have dissappeared)

the strange thing is that for one week both systems were living happily.

 

my drives are as follows

80gb ide drive xp partition nfts/ os x partition hfs+

300gb nfts sata

500gb nfts sata

500gb nfts sata

 

 

update:

after a 2nd system restore i could finally install the pci driver so xp sees the harddrives but now unable to install the harddrives- insufficient resources error again.

i've searched for help in xp forums but am asking here in case its a os x conflict that someone else has had.

sorry for the vague description but am wondering if there is something very obvious that i dont understand. i have searched to no avail.
