reever
Hi! Please, i have a problem i cant deal with. Im owner of HP Pavilion dv6850ec and i´m trying to install iDeneb 10.5.5 Intel/AMD version on my computer. I googled few hours, but i cant solve my problem. The problem is, that when im installing leopard, i dont see any HDD in setup, so i cant install leopard. Ive read that its because of bad SATA support, but i cant set my HDD to AHCI, because i have very limited BIOS. I really googled a lot and found nothing. Please try to help me. (sorry for mistakes, im not very good in english) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/153199-1-big-problem/ Share on other sites

lord_webi
for vmware you need special vmware prepared distros ... iPC is distro with liveDVD capabilities, try a live boot and see if it will work ... reever
ehm...so i´ve tried iPC and i cant install it because when i boot dvd and grey screen with apple logo appears, some error comes with it too...it says "please contact the voodoo kernel dev team bla bla bla, then some "panic(cpu 0 caller 0x004358F3): "Unable to find driver for this platform \"ACPI\" bla bla bla...then there are some lines with numbers etc, i can do screenshot if you want. I think better way to solve my problem would be solution of installing iDeneb. iDeneb worked correctly untill a instalation step where i had to choose directory. It doesnt detected my HDD. lord_webi
so I would say your hardware is not suited for running osx86 at this time. I found also no hint in HCL. Last thing I would try is the Zephyroth distribution, cause it's AMD only ... sorry Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/153199-1-big-problem/#findComment-1081891 Share on other sites
