forty two Posted February 14, 2009 Share Posted February 14, 2009 My friend has an Amilo Si 2636 We got iDeneb 1.4 to install without selecting anything in the customize section, but can't get it to work otherwise... This is what we know about the insides, copied from Everest, or gathered from the net: Northbridge: GL960/GM965 Graphics: Intel x3100 Storage: Intel ICH8M and Silicon Image Sil 3531 Ethernet: Marvell Yukon 88E8055 (edit: is now working with this: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...t&id=26339) WiFi: Intel 4965 AGN (edit: iwi4965 installs, but no cigar on the connection to the AP, networkSelector displays available SSIDs, but can't connect DUH, is diplayed as "Ethernet 2" in Preferences>Network) Sound: Conexant High Definition SmartAudio 221 (edit: output works, mic and input does not..) FireWire: Agere (edit: this seems to be working) Webcam: this is something we know nothing about, other that it should have 1.3 megapixels.. (edit: this seems to be working too) Card reader: (edit: Realtek this seems to work) Other system stuff that doesn't work: Sleep Keybord function keys only partialy work Default user password? Could we have forgot what we keyed in? Seems highly unlikely... OR MORE LIKELY THAN WE WOULD LIKE TO ADMIT If somebody could help us with the options we need to select in the install, adjust afterward, or link to the needed kexts and tweaks for this laptop, two OSx86 noobs would be most grateful. Hi there! Just bought a brand new amilo si2636 two days ago and i was wondering if it would work with OS X. forty two, did you use any guide for this laptop?? I'm a newbie and going crazy with so many patches and osx86 versions... Thanks in advance!! maakus Posted March 30, 2009 Share Posted March 30, 2009 okay so i have this laptop also. installed retail there. out of the box only video card works fine. touchpad tap doesn't work no lan and wlan audio works with azalia kext (output only) i have dual boot with Win7. its really strange but after installing mac touchpad's tap function stopped working in vista also =( any ideas? gonna update this topic when get new info UPD okay retail somehow is too difficult for me i installed iDeneb 1.4 and it seems everything works but wlan. loking for the kext.
