Gateway Mt6916 problems

Alright I installed no problem. Keyboard was not detected until after the installation was complete so I had to use only the mouse but now the synaptics touch pad works flawless.

 

The only three problems I have found so far are

1) The wireless does not work the card is the intel 3945abg card

I have done some investigation and cannot find a way to make it work but some threads about drivers in progress ect...

2) The shutdown button restarts the computer so I said hey why not give restart a try and behold my computer shut down and did not restart.

3) the sound does not work at all and I cant find any info about this one either

 

Any ideas about the Intel3945 abg wireless card ? I'm going to keep looking around but most of what I found was dated early '08 threads

 

And can I remap shutdown and restart to preform their designated functions

 

I'm not overly concerned with sound but it would be nice to have.

 

also the webcam doesent work but is detected ? not a big deal for me though

 

im using XxX_10.5.5_Leopard_Beta1 with pff1,2,and 3 all installed

if theirs something better for my laptop let me know

I did try the iwi3945.dmg from iwidarwin with an unsecured network but that did not work

the networkselector terminal thing can find networks but when I press option 2 to connect to the unsecured network it tries to "associate" but fails to do so

 

I also found this thing called "openhaltrestart" but im not to sure if that will do what i want seeing as shutdown does work but its just maped to the restart button and restart works it just happens when I press shutdown

 

sound still doesent work and I cant seem to find anything about that
