I would really like some help with this I have spent alot of time getting everything working perfect and this is baisicly the last thing any ideas?

I have slashdaks applenforceata kext installed. any other ideas possably?

well You were right I took out a stick of ram 2gb tried to burn a disk and sucess no kernal panic. Now im about to try bittorrent. Hopefully that works too then well i dont know cause i was using slashhacks nforceata fix but it says compiled for 10.4.8 i have 10.5.6 so I dont know the difference but im shure its a bit. Im going to try bit torrent now and see if i get a hard lock

Ok well I took out a 2gig stick of ram and now everything works paralls desktop bittorrent and toast. everything so far and its stable as hell Im using it now and have 6 things going at once and its chugging along fine. Hopefully somone will figure this out. Im using the newest vodoo kernel btw

Check the list of loaded extensions in system profiler maybe you have some other buggy kext loaded.

You can limit available memory with a kernel boot argument, no need to remove the memory sticks, maxmem=2048 I think, search the forum for exact details.
