redsox2003
Hey everyone, hopefully you can help me out. So I installed iDeneb v1.3 10.5.5 on my HP Pavilion dv2550se today and I keep on having the same problem whenever it finishes installing. I erase the entire hard drive as Mac OS Extended (Journaled) because I don't need to dual-boot or anything and have it as Master Boot Record. Then I select my packages: X11, Yukon driver, powermanagement, and Intel X3100. Then it installs fine and I reboot and take the CD out. I wait for it to count down and it goes through the white Apple logo screen and when it's about to load the Leopard intro movie, it goes black and doesn't do anything. It just keeps on loading (the wierd thing is that they're two mouse pointers, one is stuck to the top left hand corner of the screen and the other one is moveable but it keeps on loading). In the end, nothing comes up and I have to shut it off. I can boot into the OS in safe mode, but I want it to work normally. Can you guys help? Thanks in advance Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/152094-ideneb-v13-1055-problems/ Share on other sites

redsox2003
How do you change it from IDE to AHCI on a HP laptop? They gave me no options to do anything, the BIOS is pretty much empty. My specs are: - Intel Core 2 Duo T5250 1.5GHz processor - 2GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM - 250GB Serial ATA Drive - Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 - Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG - Marvell Yukon 88E8039 - Intel Mobile 965GM chipset My friend also has a HP dv2000, he didn't change anything in his BIOS and iDeneb installed fine on his. He only installed X11, Intel chipset, powermanagement, Yukon, and X3100. I guess I'll again later today Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/152094-ideneb-v13-1055-problems/#findComment-1074958 Share on other sites
alifalif
Hmm, i dont know how do you change it on your notebook but there must be a hint for configuring your sata interface. Assumed there is a sata-HDD in it. I didn't delete my X3100 drivers either, just the AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext and it worked. redsox2003
Okay, so when I rebooted it got screwed up again. BUT, I finally figured it out this time and it was such an easy fix. I just reinstalled it as a GUID partition and it worked fine.
