underv3
I just installed Leopard 10.5.2 (Kalyway) and everything worked perfectly (or so it seemed). After running the apple updates for a while I realized that it stopped downloading. I tried to visit some pages in safari and found that I was getting no response. This lead me to believe something was wrong with the network adapter. I shut off AirPort and then tried to turn it back on but it wasn't detecting any networks at all. I've been searching around and everyone said that it should work perfectly. I didn't change any of the network drivers that you select at install. Everything was default except for not installing the other languages and selecting nforcekernel. If someone has an idea about whats going on or could point me in the right direction it would be awesome. Quick system specs: EVGA nForce 780i SLI FTW EVGA 9800 GTX + D-Link DWA-542 Intel Q9450 Thanks for your help! underv3
Got it to work! I just installed all the drivers available from the install disk and I guess one of them is the key. Kind of weird though because none of them involved my wireless card. If I had the time I'd go through and see which it was but I'm spending enough time as it is trying to upgrade to 10.5.6. Hope this post can help someone else out Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/151905-dwa-542-not-working-after-10-minutes-of-use/#findComment-1074374 Share on other sites
