yaazz
So I was using my Hackinosh and everything seemed to be working AOK, and all of the sudden a kernel panic happened. This isn't unusual and happens from time to time, so I thought to myself darn, and restarted my machine. The hackintosh takes forever to boot up for some reason so I went to make myself a coffee. I sat in the kitchen, drank my coffee and came back ready to do some iphoneage. unfortunately, it was still spinning the little flower on the grey apple screen! This was like 20 minutes later so it shouldn't be happening. I restarted, and this time, it went to the blue screen after the grey one, but didnt go any farther! all subsequent attempts go to one of the two screens when it happened i wasnt doing anything out of the ordinary, i had a web browser open, preview, and transmission was just finishing downloading a movie please help! voodoo kernel os 10.5.5 ideneb Core 2 quad q660 4 gb ram nvidia 8800gtx Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS3P also, i should note that i can access the hfs+ drive in ubuntu, so if there is a log of some sort tell me where it is and i will post it Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/151212-was-working-fine-kernel-panic-now-nothing-help/ Share on other sites
Lanceomni
Boot using -v this will display useful information during the boot process and you can post the line that it hangs on. You can also try the following: -v -f -v -x Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/151212-was-working-fine-kernel-panic-now-nothing-help/#findComment-1068897 Share on other sites
