I have a new problem facing me.

Im trying to dual boot with iPC (10.5.6) and WindowsXP, and aparently Im not able to do that.

I have tried alot of ideas and suggestions around the forum but nothing seems to work.

1.- Create 2 partitions (40gb)-(70gb)

2.- Install winXP in the 1st partition (40gb)

3.- Install iPC in the 2nd parition (70gb)

4.- error:

boot0:error

I have the same error with iATKOS 10.5.5

Aparently there is something in "Chameleon" that cause the error since installing iATKOS 10.5.2 do not cause the error and allow me to dual boot.

Any suggestion?

Hi,

I had similar issue with iAtkos 5i, which made me give up for a month on the thing (it was the last drop among issues like bad bios and stuff). In my case it was something like:

Boot0:ok

Boot1:error

Point is that the NTFS partition was ok, but my OSX partition was having issues. I followed all the instructions on making partition active with fddisk and etc, and still no luck. As you, installing a previous release caused no problems.

But I did find out the solution:

Do NOT format your osx partition as Case Sensitive. For some reason the chameleon bootloader and the EFI V9 do not handle it. Use HFS+ non-case sensitive and you will be fine.

Let me know if it helped!

Cheers

I was having the same problem of Boot 0:error. What I did was I wiped out the complete hard disk including the MBR and the started afresh. Including rewriting the MBR and that solved my problem.

I had this problem but now it's corrected.

1. Make sure your partitions are Primary.

2. Download a boot 132 disc (google-it)

3.Boot from cd and and after pressing enter you should be able to boot windows or leopard.

4. Boot Windows and goto Start/My computer (right-click) /Manage and go to the disk management to set your leopard partition as active and reboot to see if it works

Try it but it's not sure if it works.

Thank you

I had same problem because I accidently deleted the boot file at ROOT, just pop your iAatkos disc back in (or whatever flavor u use), and when u get to the installer, untick all the boxes except the chameleon bootloader, 30 secs later it will prompt a restart.

Alternatively, when the Distro prompts u to press F8, do so, and enter the string rd=diskXsY (X = drive, usually 0, and Y is partition number) and the distro will give leopard the bump start it needs, then just recopy a boot file back to root (easily downloadable online).

Hope this helps
