oranjeguice
Alright. So I attempt to run some older installers, and I get this error message: The error message report: Process: MasterInstaller [358] Path: /Volumes/CanonDC231M/CanonDigitalCameraInstaller.app/Contents/MacOSClassic/MasterInstaller Identifier: MasterInstaller Version: ??? (???) /usr/libexec/oah/translate Instead of using the installers, I attempted to copy all the necessary files from the CD (which happened to be Age of Empires II). Whether I run the app from a legitimate CD or from a cracked download, I get the same error above. I've been able to use more up to date installers, like for my audio interface, adaptec toast, etc., but these other ones just don't seem to work. My friends are having no issues installing on their 10.4 and 10.5 systems (these are, however, legit Macs). If you have any suggestions, that'd be really great. If it's any help, my SATA DVD-RW drive still won't read in OSX, had to install OSX w/ and still currently using an IDE DVD-R. OSX is also installed on an IDE HD. Any help and/or suggestions greatly appreciated... Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/151039-unable-to-open-older-installer-programs/ Share on other sites

Maniac10
Maybe it's voodoo kernel, cause running in 64bits it won't let you run ppc code. Try booting with legacy.
