mike51r
I noticed that on the recovery CD for my laptop it says the driver is "Sigmatel Audio Driver V6.10.5713.0" Can someone direct me to the correct patch to get the sound working on my laptop. (its a Gateway P-6860 FX) Or can someone tell he how to check which patch to use. I'm totally lost. potenuse
If your chipset is Sigmatel, you should be able to get it working - there are quite a few good solutions out there. You'll need to know more about it though (use Everest or Device Manager or a codec dump from Linux ie: Mandriva) such as Vendor and Device ID and Codec. You'll find downloads on this site if you hunt around a bit. There's one that may work called Azalia.pkg Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/150993-sigmatel-correct-drivers/#findComment-1067082 Share on other sites
