s3n4te
I downloaded the Maxxuss Patch Solution v1.0a, and there's a folder called AMD Enabler, what do I do to install it? I currently have mac 10.4.6 with amd enabler v1.0 ( it came installed on the disc), but I can't access Itunes preferences. I searched the forums, and I found out that I need v1.0a AMD Enabler, but I don't know how to install it , can anyone help me? Thanks in advance Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/15082-amd-enabler-10a/ Share on other sites
geo2002
1. Unzip AMD_Enabler to desktop (double click on file) 2. Run terminal 3. cd /Users/<YOUR_USER_NAME>/Desktop/AMD_Enabler 4. sudo ./patcher ./cpuid_patches.txt 5. enter YOUR password 6. when the script finished reboot your computer iTunes preferences are available. Thanks a lot, I have one more questions, before I didn't know how to install the patcher, I open a bunch of executables in the Patch Solutions folder by dbl clicking on them. I was wondering did that mess up anything at all, or nothing happened? executables which i opened were maxxuss_sse, AppleSMBIOS, and patcher. geo2002
Don't worry. "maxxuss_sse" can be used to query information from the emulator in the kernel (it's a command line tool that requires additional parameters to work) "AppleSMBIOS" is a kernel extension binary replacement (works as a kernel extension only) "patcher" requires additional parameters to work.
