Hey, I've been having problems with mounting .dmg files. I've read laceomni2's post on this and didn't have any success with it. I googled my problem and have tried some different fixes with no avail.

"9.5.0 Darwin Kernel Version 9.5.0: Sat Dec 6 19:39:54 IST 2008; Voodoo; Release 1.0 :xnu-1228.7.58/BUILD/obj/RELEASE_I386 i386"

Anyway, from what I've read, Voodoo is coming out with a 9.6.0 kernel soon, and since I'm a noob at this stuff, should I just wait for it?

Also, in the words of Leopard, "disk images fail to mount". Is this kernel and seatbelt kext stuff probably my problem?

Thanks for your advice!

The problem is seatbealt.kext.

You must install seatbelt.kext from a 10.5.5 version.
