locoFlo Posted February 1, 2009 Share Posted February 1, 2009 I'm new in this forum and also with this subject. In some weeks I'd like to build my first hackintosh. I am not sure about the components yet, because i don't know what is possible with OSx86. I am really excited about the progress some guys on this forum did with the new core i7 and the corresponding mobo from gigabyte. Here is one of my many questions: Is it possible to use a mobo with an integrated graphics like X3100 or Nvidia 9400M and also a dedicated card like the 8800GT from Nvidia? That would be perfect, because most of the time i don't need a big card but i also like to play a nice 3D-Shooter from time to time. Such a hackintosh would be only useful, if you can switch between graphic cards. Thats the thing I am not sure about. I know you can do it in the new MBPs from Apple. But can it be done with OSx86?
