Not sure how to explain this properly, but here goes:

In windows, I love how the mouse pointer moves.

I have a logitech mx510, windows hardware settings has it at medium speed, and the checkbox for "increase precision" checked.

Whenever I use this mouse in Mac os (or apple's mightymouse or whatever it's called), my hand cramps up kinda quickly due to the weird movement of the cursor.

It feels like the acceleration is way off in mac os; moving at medium speed moves the actual cursor very slowly. Moving at medium-high speed moves the cursor way too fast.

In mac os there's only the sensitivity I can change, and no setting gives me a pleasant result.

Two questions:

- Any chance to get at this problem?

- Anyone else ever felt the same problem? Or am I alone on this / just too picky?

I'm reviving this thread to try and see if anyone might have something to add.

Perhaps someone is able to explain my issue to me myself, since I can't exactly put my finger on it.

I've tried both programs mentioned in the thread but there is something fundamentally different with how the mouse behaves in mac os vs windows.

In windows, using different sensitivities, I can click VERY easily on anything I want to.

In mac os my whole arm hurts, getting tense from focusing too much to move the cursor where I want it.

If I drag the cursor like I'm used to, I always end up too short, I don't get to the goal. So I compensate and drag more aggresively, but the end result then is that it goes too far.

I know acceleration is one culprit in this mess but there has to be something else, something basic that is wrong, and hopefully a cure.
