aka-ra
I'm looking for an external Caddy or Docking Station for an 80GB Ultra ATA/100; 5400 rpm - that I've removed from an old G4 Powerbook. Can anyone recommend one as I don't wish to pay the extortionate costs involved with data recovery. The scenario is that the Powerbook was infrequently able to boot and when it did boot - it was not able to stay on for a long period. I am unsure if this is due to the power board malfunctioning or the logic board. I don't believe it to be the hard drive failing as when it has booted fully, I've been able to copy files from it to another mac/external drive. I mistakenly purchased an external enclosure for 2.5"/3.5" SATA HD as I believed that was what I need - only it wasn't. I hope I've explained myself well enough.
