Your setup looks perfectly fine to me. There's no guarantee that everything will work 100% vanilla, but I'm sure there are custom kext packs for 10.5.6 that can be applied to your setup.

 

I say go for it. On new and recent hardware, retail Leopard performance is SO much better than those installed from bare-bones custom ISO's. You'll be supporting Apple, AND you'll have a smoother, faster, nearly crash-free system. :thumbsup_anim:

You will need a Boot-132 disc in order to boot from the Leopard DVD (details in other threads).

 

Stickied at the top of this forum category, there are 2 methods of installing from the retail DVD (or an image of it) and updating to 10.5.6. You'll have to wipe your drive and create 2 or more partitions (one small, one large) if you only have 1 hd, then reinstall Kalyway onto the smaller section and work from there. This is probably the best way for you, especially if you get an updated retail version. A lot of kexts have been updated since Kalyway 10.5.1.

ok another question. If I installed the retail dvd on my computer could i use the apple software update to install updates? could i use the combo update from apple? could i install the update without any hassle like you usually have to do with kalyway?
