mrskitch
Hello all, now that I've get system stable does anyone have any good recommendations for wireless card? I've currently got a LONG ethernet cable running across my room and would rather do the wireless network card. I was recommended an ASUS a while ago, and it turned out to be a dud and its drivers brought my system to its knees. I'd like it to be a PCI (not mini! or else I'd go airport), and not a USB adapter. Unless the USB one rocks of course... Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/148975-decent-networking-card-for-leopard/ Share on other sites
Synaesthesia
Well I have bought three Asus WL-138G-V2 wireless cards, and they have worked flawlessly in Windows + Mac. But if that's not your cup of tea, any other wireless card with a compatible chipset will work. Just make sure you get the right model. Here is a list of working cards (USB and PCI) http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.ph...10.5.2#Wireless Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/148975-decent-networking-card-for-leopard/#findComment-1055394 Share on other sites
mrskitch
Yeah, that was the same exact card. It would work on occasion and then just drop signals, which was really frustrating. I'm thinking of going the Linksys route. They have like two cards that work OOB with Leopard which is nice. Thanks for the HCL link. Hopefully I can find that Linksys card for under $50 bucks...
