djCecco
Hi, I installed 10.5.1 on a modified Dell D410 1.73 GHz Intel Centrino: - I changed Intel Wireless 2200 with a Broadcom 1430 (about 18 Euro on E-bay from UK) - I changed memory Module with 2x 1GB 667 MHz (2x 512MB 533 MHz made some trouble) - I patched my external VGA connector in order to make sensor OK for dual-video and for booting - I put on it a 64 GB SSD ATA buyed on E-bay (about 250 Euro from Hong Kong) After installation without any problem, I see bluetooth, I sync my Nokia Communicator E90, my iPod 160GB, I can use TimeCapsule and Remote TV module ... I have a problem with ACPI managing ... OSX doesn't see this is a laptop at all :-((( I can't see Battery or Performance TAB in Energy Saver Panel :-((( I try to look on forums and to Goggl'd it, but no way ... no hints I can't find any kind of .kext to change, to use, to delete, to modify :-((( Another little problem is that iCal doesn't start, it tries to start, but it dies, but I'm working around it in these days. === I'm going to buy a real Mac, but now I can try if I can use for my job, where I used to see only MS Winzoz :-) Regards, djCecco Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/148874-osx-1051-on-dell-d410/ Share on other sites
