hjrud Posted January 23, 2009 Share Posted January 23, 2009 Hi, i've a problem with every isos of osx86 i tried (kalyway, XxX86, iaktos...). I've a Dell Laptop Inspiron 9400 Core2duo 2ghz, 2GB ram, 320GB HD, 7900gs I can install leopard without any problems, its okay, but when i reboot, if i retire the cd, it says "hfs partition error" and i cant do anything, so i must reboot with the cd in my drive if i want to access to my leopard installed. But if you're not dual-booting, then it sounds like you've formatted your hard drive with GUID. Note: When using a custom build ISO (especially current public releases), you have to use Disk Utility to format your drive with MBR (Master Boot Record). Otherwise, about 75% of the time, you'll get that message after restarting. Quick solution: Have the DVD in place, and let it redirect to the hd as you have been doing so far. Download and install Chameleon 1.011 (which contains EFIv8, while 1.012 uses v9, which is more compatible with 10.5.6). What the DVD does is act as a bootloader, which most public release do not install (except for iPC). Chameleon will do that for you separately so you don't have to use the DVD or a Boot-132 CD/USB.
