Straylux
My system is based on Kalyway 10.5.2, updated successfully to 10.5.3 on Asus P5W DH deluxe, with Nvidia 7300GT 512 Mb [reflashed in DOS]. Intel CPU E2140 Conroe, OC'd to 2.6Ghz, 3GB RAM. Seagate Barracuda 250GB SATA hdd MBR partition. -Previously had full graphics acceleration with CI/QE enabled, using NVKush & Diabolik's Leopard nVidia kexts. System froze while playing Call of Duty 4, forcing hard shutdown. Kernel Panic on reboot. -Reformatted disk & full reinstall with 10.5.2, updated to 10.5.3. -Installed PC_EFI & 9.3.0 vanilla kernel Since then ABSOLUTELY nothing I try will restore CI/QE to my system, & I have tried everything: NvInject, NvKush, Natit, Titan, EFI strings....installing the 9f2114graphics.pkg from iATKOS 10.5.5 via Pacifist, NVInstaller .41 package, using kexts & OpenGL framework from 10.4 Tiger, editing the .plist's in NVDANV40, NVDAResman & Nvinject kexts. All without any success Nothing works. The best I get is with NvInject -at least I can boot without needing a kernel flag. But no acceleration. At the moment I'm using 9f2114graphics.pkg with Nvinject . However, when I look at the system log in Console, I notice the following entrys within my last boot log: Jan 20 13:41:13 adams-mac-pro kernel[0]: P0P1: family specific matching fails Jan 20 13:41:13 adams-mac-pro kernel[0]: display: family specific matching fails Jan 20 13:41:13 adams-mac-pro kernel[0]: P0P3: family specific matching fails Jan 20 13:41:13 adams-mac-pro kernel[0]: pci104c,8023: family specific matching fails Jan 20 13:41:13 adams-mac-pro kernel[0]: P0P4: family specific matching fails Jan 20 13:41:13 adams-mac-pro kernel[0]: P0P7: family specific matching fails Jan 20 13:41:13 adams-mac-pro kernel[0]: ethernet: family specific matching fails Jan 20 13:41:13 adams-mac-pro kernel[0]: P0P8: family specific matching fails Jan 20 13:41:13 adams-mac-pro kernel[0]: ethernet: family specific matching fails Jan 20 13:41:13 adams-mac-pro com.apple.launchd[1] (com.openssh.sshd): Unknown key: SHAuthorizationRight Jan 20 13:41:14 adams-mac-pro kernel[0]: P0P9: family specific matching fails Jan 20 13:41:14 adams-mac-pro kernel[0]: JMF0: family specific matching fails Jan 20 13:41:14 adams-mac-pro kernel[0]: JMF1: family specific matching fails Jan 20 13:41:14 adams-mac-pro kernel[0]: SBRG: family specific matching fails Jan 20 13:41:14 adams-mac-pro kernel[0]: USB2: family specific matching fails Jan 20 13:41:14 adams-mac-pro kernel[0]: USB3: family specific matching fails Jan 20 13:41:14 adams-mac-pro kernel[0]: USB4: family specific matching fails Jan 20 13:41:14 adams-mac-pro kernel[0]: USB1: family specific matching fails Jan 20 13:41:14 adams-mac-pro kernel[0]: EUSB: family specific matching fails Jan 20 13:41:14 adams-mac-pro kernel[0]: IDE0: family specific matching fails Jan 20 13:41:14 adams-mac-pro kernel[0]: IDE1: family specific matching fails Jan 20 13:41:14 adams-mac-pro kernel[0]: pci8086,27da: family specific matching fails Jan 20 13:41:14 adams-mac-pro kernel[0]: pci8086,27d8: family specific matching fails Jan 20 13:41:14 adams-mac-pro kernel[0]: pci8086,277c: family specific matching fails Jan 20 13:41:14 adams-mac-pro kernel[0]: Matching service count = 18 Jan 20 13:41:15 adams-mac-pro kernel[0]: Apple16X50ACPI1: Identified Serial Port on ACPI Device=UAR1 Jan 20 13:41:15 adams-mac-pro kernel[0]: Apple16X50UARTSync1: Detected 16550AF/C/CF FIFO=16 MaxBaud=115200 Jan 20 13:41:15 adams-mac-pro kernel[0]: pci8086,27d8: family specific matching fails Jan 20 13:41:15 adams-mac-pro kernel[0]: ALCinject: Starting. Is it related to how the system is "seeing" my hardware on boot, & how do I go about matching the data from IORegistryExplorer, & entries in various kext's & com.apple. plist's with the physical structure of my hardware? If someone knows how to debug these issues, &/or how to use Reggie SE please enlighten & guide me on this -at least give me some pointers as to which direction I need to be looking. Its really becoming a pain, though in a funny way I appreciate its teaching me about OS X & how to hack it in a way that simply wouldnt be happening if it all just worked out of the box]. Saying that, knowing that CI/QE can work on my system -I had it going before- is driving me nuts with frustration, & I keep breaking off from work I should be doing to try & fix it. Its the final stepping stone to having a perfect Hackintosh system for me. So, pleeeease someone out there who knows about resloving these kind of hardware issues, step in here & guide my n00b hands as to how to go about aligning my OS to see my hardware nicely, [if that is what's going on here]. Thankyou?
