Okay, so tonight was kinda the final straw... yet another spyware infestation on uh... you guessed it, Windows XP... WITH anti-spyware and anti-virus installed and running in the background.

Never mind, so I would seriously want to make the move to Mac OS X now, before it gets suggested money IS a factor so unfortunately I can't rush out tomorrow and buy an iMac (believe me, as much as I want to)

I have tried installed OS X 10.4.1 which worked, with the exception of no widescreen resolution (1280x800) - I could only get 1024x768, no wireless networking and no sound

I then reverted to the dark side (Windows) and few months down the line tried 10.4.5 I couldnt even boot from the DVD properly, I had tried pc=x86pc and other switched etc etc...

So now, I am looking for the geniuses here to help me figure a few things out, mainly on getting my hardware to work under Mac OS X, heres a few details...

I have a Turion64 with SSE3 so would like to use SSE3 obviously.

My wireless card is integrated into the notebook, I have a 'Broadcom 802.11g Network Adapter' according to Device manager.

My graphics chip is 'SiS M760' --- last time got to res of 1024x768. No widescreen 1280x800.

SiS 760GX chipset.

The notebook is a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo A1645

Any help is appreciated!! massive TIA
