fd-onmac-x86 Posted January 17, 2009 Share Posted January 17, 2009 Hi I installed leopard 10.5 using iATKOS 5i disk. After booting osx is too slow. Especially the terminal application z. If i type in , the character appears in terminal after few seconds of delay . In safari if i type press a character in my keyboard its getting repeated too many times.. Videos are extremely slow. If i play something in youtube the video gets updated frame by frame. I am having all these weird problems. Lots of posts in this forum suggests to remove the Appletmpacpi.kext file. But i do not have that file in my computer. Looking at activity monitor, i donot see any particular process taking up too much of processor. In fact the total cpu % is around 10 to 20. OSX86 project wiki had an article about speedbost , i tried and nothing seems to work . I have a dell laptop inspiron e1405 with Intel 945 express display adaptor , sigmatel 9200 audio card , dell 1390 wifi card. Anything that i can do to boost my computer?
