zorang
I finally decided to try installing OS X. I downloaded MaC.OsX.10.4.5.Universal.Install.DVD(INTEL_AMD_SSE3_SSE2).iso. When I attempted to install it on my Dell 6400 under VMware WS 5.5 I had the following problem: 1. VMware booted from DVD (Created from iso image using Nero 6) 2. Screen displays: Darwin/x86 boot 5.0.132 486MB memory VESA v2.0 16MB (V M ware Inc VBE support 2.0) Press enter to continue of F8 to change options I pressed enter 3. Grey apple screen appears 3. VMWare resets with error: Virtual machine stack fault (hardware reset) I also tried F8 then -v but unfortuntely VMware display "fuzzy" screen (as if wrong resolution) VMware 5.5: - One Processor - Memory 512MB - 30GB of HDD using 2GB extents of virtual disk - BIOS options default Dell Inspiron 6400: - Windows XP SP2 - Dual Core - 1.5GB - 120GB Any suggestions? maso
I used the same iso and it works fine with VMWare Server (free beta) Maybe you can try to mount the iso with demon tools an boot from there?
