Hello all,

I'm new to installing OS X on my PC but have tried numerous times to install and boot but it always fails.

My PC Specs are:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.4GHz

8GB DDR2 RAM

Nvidia Geforce 9800GX2 and

8800 GTS 640MB (For Nvidia Physx On Vista)

Asus Xonar D2X Sound Card

Gigabyte EP45-DS3 v1.0 F9 Bios

2x Maxtor 320GB SATA

Samsung 160GB IDE

Maxtor Basics 640GB External Hard Drive (Where I'm attempting to install it)

Broadcom WLAN Card

1010W PSU

I think Customising the install is where i'm messing up.

Im not really sure what patches I should be selecting based on my hardware. I.E. Kernel, video patches.

On previous installs, It would boot up to the apple logo and then just error and say "You need to restart your computer....", or just freeze with no error message.

I did boot using -v command but it wasn't any help as it would stop at different commands each boot up.

I was able to boot into safe mode using -x and then at least get to the desktop and that was it.

This time I cannot even boot into safe mode, the only difference this time is i'm installing it to an external drive.

If anyone can help me get the install up and running properly, it would be much appreciated.
