insomnica
For starters, heres the distro: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=73524 Now, I have this. Booted up to the install, and went through the painless 2 hour install. Rebooted to that 'Create your .Mac account' info, and then finally to a working Mac OS desktop. But everytime I want Darwin to load, I have to insert the disk! At this point I see something like this: Darwin x86Press any key to install Mac OS X or F8 for startup options (4) If it counts, im running Mac on an IDE, 'disk0s1' IIRC, and Ubuntu 8.10 and Vista on a SATA HDD. -------------- And I also have a problem with my Ethernet connection. It gives it an internal IP, '169.24.113.19' and its setup with DHCP. Gone through the whole reboot your modems and routers, nothing comes up with that. The only problems I have with this OS addition to my tri-boot system. Hats off to Zeph. layzee
Went through this myself. The key is in how you prepare the disk before installing. Using the disk tool before install, make sure you partition the disk and set it as MBR. Then format it as HFS+ and install.
