Hi all,

I've just spent the morning looking for an answer to this question, and so far have come up with a blank. I have seen many posts on similar angles, but I've not found one that helps. If this has been posted before, I apologise - perhaps my search criteria is off..

So I have an OSX86 installation, using Darwin as the boot loader. I have just added a kext to try and get my PS2 Keyboard installed, and now the system will not boot (Hangs on the Apple loading screen). I know that the script I used made a backup of the old kext's, so I know that I can revert easily so long as I can get to a command prompt. Unfortunately, this is the problem - I just can't seem to get one. I have used the -s option with Darwin, and booting still hangs. I have also used the -x and -F options - still hangs.

I have tried pressing the shift key for the apple safe made, but no joy there either.

I just need to get at my partition to copy the old kexts back and I think I am there...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Sorry to have disturbed anyone here. I have managed to sort this myself. If anyone else suffers from this sort of problem (and they didn't find the answer elsewhere) - the answer is to boot from the modified boot DVD (in my case, the Kalyway one). Let the GUI load, and then when possible, run 'Terminal' from the menu bar. From there, the drive should be mounted and you can perform any changes you need.

I'm back up and running now, and will forget about my PS/2 keyboard for now!

Phew!

Have you attempted to boot via the install disk and use Terminal?

[EDIT] should have read your second post :thumbsup_anim:
