i love custord Posted January 11, 2009 Share Posted January 11, 2009 hello i have recently downloaded ipc 10.5.6 public beta and installed the ppf1 and ppf2 patches and burnt it to a dvd, so i rebooted and at the loader i typed -v and waited a while, eventually it booted up normally and everything was fine so i went into the disk utility and was about to partition my hard disk but then i realised i had not made an emty one for os x, so i quitted disk utility and rebooted (i cant remember which menu i went into to get to rebbot), then i partitioned my hard disk with acronis disk director suite and no errors appeared or anything strange so i exited that and booted back into the ipc install disk and did the -v command and it booted up like before but then when it had finnished and was going into the language choosing screen it went blue as usual and then it suddenly went black and just hung there i waited 5 mins before turning it off by holding in the power button. i have rebooted many times and still it hung on the black screen. i am curious as to why it worked before i partitioned but not now. i also reburnt it on another disk and still didnt work. i have a toshiba satellite m300 intel centrino dual core 2 gig ram intel (?)650 mobile video card please help Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/146121-ipc-installation-troubles/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
