Grama
OK so here is the rig.... GA-EG31M-S2 REV2.0 (after RMA'ing a suddenly dead REV1.0 board) Q6600 EVGA 9800GTX+ SuperClocked 2x2GB G.SKILL DDR2-800 LiteON iHAS something drive. Seagate 500GB SATA Drive Alright so I built the rig on X-mas day, but with the original REV1.0 board and sans the video card. Eventually after much work got Windows XP, Vista x64, iAtkos 10.5.5 and Fedora 10 x64 all installed. Then I bought the video card and when I tried to install it, the second RAM slot died, had to RMA the mobo, I ordered a new one from another site and got the REV 2.0 model. Rebuilt system, everything working well (well, it was booting at the very least). Now since then I have yet to make OS X boot after install. The install disc boots up JUST fine. After iAtkos 10.5.5 did not work, I then tried iPC 10.5.6 and had very little success with that. iAtkos 10.5.5 -> install disc boots and installs with no problems. After reboot, I either get told to reboot computer or the spinner thing on the grey bootup screen just sits there and does nothing (i think that was with various options or if I used the -f flag at boot). Last time I tried it, I booted with a -v and the last few lines included "family specific matching fails" and "localhost DumpPanic[39] Error getting a reference to IODeviceTree:/opitions" and then the last two lines were "Login Window Application Started" and then "localhost /usr/sbin/ocspd[96] staring". Then nothing. IPC 10.5.6 (both unpatched and fully patched) -> No matter what options I choose, how I install it, I always end up with "System config file ' /.com.apple.boot.s/Library/Preferences/SystemCOnfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist' not found." On top of all of this, my XP partition became unusable last night, I tried to boot it and at the blue screen with "Windows XP" in the middle right before the desktop shows it stopped loading, i could move my mouse but that was about it. I figure it is probably a fluke, but could have reinstalling OS X repeatedly (tho I never once touched my XP partition) caused it to corrupt? So what gives? Any hints or tips to try? I appreciate everything and anything! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/146110-compatibilty-designed-hackintosh-not-so-compatible/ Share on other sites

I'm pretty sure that com.apple.Boot.plist not found is a bootloader error, check that your osx partition is flagged as boot drive and re-install bootloader, also what happens if just leave dvd in drive? I am really, really tempted to wait until the next version of iAtkos comes out (whenever that will be), since the 10.5.5 version did work with the rev. 1.0 mobo and it atleast boots the OS on the rev 2.0 board. It just wont get past the loginwindow app, I figure its a video problem.
