I just need some yay or nays on this build...

Also, one I build this and save up a little more money, I'm looking to put a blu-ray drive in it to play blu-ray movies, Does anyone have suggestions on a video card that will be compatible and that will do the job? And if the processor and mobo will be able to to handle HD?

Thanks. :D

Great selection of hardware :) The processor and mobo will handle HD alright. Any of the graphics cards in this list will do the job.

You can pick from the super low-end (7300GS) to the high-end (Ati 3870, nVidia 9800GT)

Thanks for the reply Synaesthesia. That's good to hear. Do any of those cards have an HDMI out or will a DVI-D connection do fine?

Er...I don't think HDMI is so well supported in OS X, I'm really no expert with that though...But DVI-D will work great.

BTW you can't watch Blu-Ray in OS X, you have to either rip it first, or use Windows. It's not HDCP compliant.

Well f*** me then huh osx? haha. Oh well, I guess I just use DVI-D, not a big deal. Thanks for your help.

The Blu-ray drive still works fine - you can read + write disks in Toast. You just can't watch Blu-ray movies. Sucks. But you can rip them with Anydvd + decrypt them and THEN watch them.

But that's too much effort, I would just reboot to Windows.
