MyIzo Disk Utility Problem

Hello friendly Osx86 Forum community!

 

This is my first post after about 5 hours of searching and reading for a solution to my problem. I have been a PC user since day one but i am familiar with the workings of a Mac thanks to my brother ;()

 

I have followed numerous procedures but most have ended up in failure. I have not gotten past the point to choose the install destination.

 

My configuration is as follows:

blah blah blah compatible SSE2 processor etc..

Acronis Disk Director Suite 10

Partition Magic

10.4.4/10.4.5 MyIZO Mac OS X Tiger DVD

120 GB HD (1 windows partition and one AF Partition)

I followed this procedure to create the AF Partition:

 

partition magic

make a primary partition which is bigger then 6gb directly behind c:

when finished go to start -> run

 

cmd (dos box opens)

diskpart

select disk 0

list partiton

select partition 2 (in my case it was, select the new created one)

delete (be sure to delete the right one!!)

create partition primary id=af

 

now you created your mac partition

now you just have to set it active:

select partiton 2

active

 

now you can restart and boot with mac osx cd

use disk utility to erase the partition again and then you can install

When i get to the disk utility part, i see both of my partitions on my hard drive. They are both gray. When i click my second (AF ) partition, I am supposed to erase its contents. I have tried many times but once it reaches completion, disk utlity closes and the installation menu doesnt return. I am all alone with a blue screen and a black mouse. No beach-balling, and no CD/HD response. I have tried restarting and such but to no avail it does not work. I have tried at least 5 times and still no progress.

 

If i dont erase the drive in Disk Utility and clik view Info of drive, i get the following information.

 

 

It seems that there are no problems in the setup of th drive. Again, the problem is that it repeatedly just exits out of everything after the disk utility erase. Even on a re-install, the drive remains greyed. I hope i included everything necessary. I am looking forward to any help I can get . Thank you ahead.

i posted at a bad time last night so i think this might deserve one bum. And now , if no one has a solution , my tentative mac partition is currently active and the installation fails... how do i make it so my widnows partition can boot.. dos commands?
