gwon
I got iDeneb installed beautifully yesterday, on the first attempt. Everything worked out of the box except my lan connection (DAMN!) I've been reading around for information, and everything I've read leads me to believe I might be out of luck, but I thought I'd post anyway and see if I could find some helpful information. Hardware is as follows: Acer Aspire M3201 desktop AMD Phenom X4 9150e Acer RS780HVF Motherboard AMD 780G Chipset ATI SB700 Southbridge The onboard network device that's not working is the Marvell Libertas 88E8071 - has anyone managed to get one of these up and running? If I'm totally screwed, and I have to pick up a network card, is my safest bet just going out and buying a supported LAN card (can I just then plug it in an reboot and expect it to work?) or would I be better off buying one of those apple USB ethernet adapters? gwon
I'm biting the bullet. Leaving work in 10 minutes and heading over to buy a supported out of the box ethernet card. I'm going to keep looking into this though, because it would be nice to be able to say you can pick up a quad core mac pro - working out of the box - from pc world for £329 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/144629-help-with-onboard-ethernet-marvell-88e8071/#findComment-1027801 Share on other sites
