iCF-74 ToughMac
Have you looked into using the SlimBuild GUI to burn your own custom Boot-132 CD? Scale back to the 5 basic kexts, and then build on that by adding your X3100 kexts. In the meantime, try booting in safe mode (-x) when you switch in the retail DVD, and see if that works. Joe PS: We have near identical hardware and doing the SlimBuildGUI worked fine for my retail build, so it should work for you too. Off the top of my head, I think these are the kexts I used in my CD: AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext ApplePS2Controller.kext AppleIntelGMAX3100FB.kext AppleIntelGMAX3100.kext Natit.kext IntelCPUPMDisabler.kext dmos.kext SMBIOSEnabler.kext Perhaps not the perfect solution, but it got my system up and running .. and I've never had a build so stable. Not cherry yet .. but stable. andi1707
Thanks for the fast reply!! I tried also to use Slimbuild, but I don't got it running. I have problems with the plist (sorry, but programming in basic on my C64 was already to much for me ) I will now try again booting in save mode, and let you know results. By the way, is it possible to let me have your iso file? I have one of those and a Vic-20 sitting in a box here from the 80's. Wife calls me a packrat -- what?? Just tried safe mode. It seams to work.... keep you posed THANKS ! Thats what I had to do when the generic .iso's wouldn't work initially before moving on to SlimBuild. Good luck! I'm using 10.6.8 and trying to fix my screen as I want to see 1920x1200 resolution. Any help?
