You're asking a lot. For your system, I would go with an older distro like Kalyway 10.5.2, that will simplify everything greatly.

Update your BIOS before installing if you don't have the latest version already. If you type Intel D915GEV into google Intel's support page for your motherboard will be among the first hits. There you can download drivers (looks like you're missing the sound driver in Windows) manual and the latest BIOS.

For the base hardware your selection is

9.5.0 Voodoo Kernel

Intel GMA 900 or 915, not sure which one.

Intel ICHx SATA Drivers

LegacyAppleIntelPIIXATA

AC97 Audio

VIA Rhine Ethernet

SKGE Marvell Yukon

As for the rest.. making the right choices is a lot of work.

No promises or guarantees - here are my suggestions:

USB and IOPCIFamily.kext patch is hit and miss..try them or not.. your call

Select Seatbelt.kext 10.5.5 to not have kernel panics when mounting .dmg files

If you're using PS2 keyboard and mouse select the fixes - don't mix USB and PS2 mouse/keyboard, use one type or the other!

Select Patch DSDT

AppleSMBIOSEFI

Chameleon with SMBIOS/DSDT

As for the apps, it's up to you. Search and read up on what they can do for you.

Don't select anything I didn't mention - if some things get selected automatically when you select others, leave them selected.

Also, find the release thread for the distro you have here in the forums and look for more information there.

Good luck and don't expect it to work on the first try!
